Choose one of four August game modes
Skiller and PvMer both use a 20x experience multiplier. Skiller earns 20% more talent points in non-combat skills, while PvMer earns 20% more in combat skills. Both can prestige trainable skills seven times.
Masochist uses 5x experience, earns 10% more talent points in every skill, and can prestige ten times. Slayer Locked uses 10x experience, earns 20% more combat talent points, can prestige nine times, and must be paired with an Ironman mode.

- Masochist: 5x XP, +10% all talent points, 10 prestiges.
- Slayer Locked: 10x XP, +20% combat talent points, 9 prestiges.
Claim the starter packs and security bonus
Use `::starter` and `::refer` after the tutorial. Redeem the included Rank Book for Sapphire Donator rank. Then use `::2fa` and `::setpin` to protect the account.
Bank PIN and two-factor authentication together grant a 3% drop-rate bonus. Claim achievement rewards as the account levels because they supply the early progression loop.
Earn talent points from every skill
Training any skill earns talent progress. Talents increase damage, accuracy, experience, drop rate, resource retention, harvesting, and skilling speed. The selected game mode determines which category earns bonus talent progress.
Combat builds begin with accuracy, consistent minimum damage, and combat experience talents. Specialized damage and utility effects come later.
Start combat with Prayer and Slayer
Take Turael tasks while training combat and keep every bone until Prayer reaches 43 for protection prayers. Standard Slayer monsters usually use one combat style, allowing the matching protection prayer to prevent their damage.
Ironman accounts start with melee because melee consumes no runes or ammunition. Skilling starts use Thieving for early gold or Runecrafting for talent progress and Magic runes. Spend skilling tokens on a skilling outfit, Gatherer's Pickaxe, or Gatherer's Axe.
Prestige as soon as the skill qualifies
The first prestige requires level 99. Every later prestige requires two additional levels: 101, 103, 105, and onward. Prestiging resets the skill to level 1 and grants talent progress plus the skill-specific prestige benefit.
Levels earned past the next prestige requirement do not increase the talent reward. Prestige at the requirement unless the current level is needed to finish an activity already in progress.
August questions
What is the best August RSPS game mode?
PvMer is the best general combat mode, Skiller is best for non-combat training, Masochist is the long low-rate mode, and Slayer Locked is the restricted Ironman challenge.
How do talents work on August?
Every trained skill earns talent progress. Talent points buy combat, skilling, and utility upgrades, with a bonus category determined by account mode.
Should I prestige skills on August?
Yes. Prestige at each qualifying level because over-leveling does not increase the talent reward.
What should an August Ironman train first?
Start with melee, Turael Slayer tasks, and Prayer. Melee avoids early rune and ammunition shortages, while level 43 Prayer protects against standard tasks.
