Orion RSPS Guide: Perks, Progression and First Steps

Install the official Orion client

Orion provides 32-bit and 64-bit Windows installers through orion.ps/play. Most modern Windows computers use the 64-bit installer.

The universal Orion Jar requires Java 11. Use it on systems without a matching Windows installer.

Learn the custom world before grinding

Orion uses familiar RuneScape combat and items inside a custom nostalgic world. OSRS knowledge transfers to basic combat, but home, travel, shops, and activity locations follow Orion's own layout.

Locate the bank, teleports, shops, task systems, death retrieval, and help channels before spending starter resources.

Build around league-inspired perks

League-inspired perks are Orion's defining permanent progression layer. They strengthen combat and streamline account growth beyond ordinary equipment upgrades.

Choose perks that improve the repeated activity. Damage and sustain serve PvM; gathering and production support skilling; risk-oriented effects belong in PvP setups.

Compare combat pets with direct upgrades

Orion combat pets contribute to gameplay rather than acting only as cosmetics. A pet competes with weapons, armour, Prayer, supplies, and perks for the same account resources.

Buy the upgrade that improves the repeated activity most. Use completed trades and actual buyers to value pets and rare items.

Choose one progression path

PvM accounts establish one combat style, a supply source, and a repeatable encounter before moving into raids. Skillers pair gathering with a production skill that consumes the gathered resource.

PvP accounts begin with replaceable equipment and learn death rules before increasing risk. Orion uses its official site, live client, and Discord rather than a comprehensive public wiki.
