Impact RSPS Starter Guide: Slayer, Gear and PvM

Impact gives Normal accounts immediate max combat and makes Slayer the clearest progression path for trained modes. Set up home, Quick Gear, and task tracking before spending Slayer points or entering risk content.

Normal starts maxed; other modes train

Normal mode begins with maxed combat stats. Every other mode trains combat manually and receives a starter package with gear and basic skilling and PvM supplies.

At home, Shanomi runs the main shop in the top-right area. Duradel stands in the right-side building. The Spirit Fairy Tree is the main teleport system.

Create Quick Gear presets immediately

Open Quest Tab, select Summary Tab, then use the red helmet button at the bottom right. Quick Gear saves and equips complete setups for PvM, PvP, and skilling.

Create separate safe-content and risk-content presets. A Wilderness or Risk Zone preset contains only items the account can replace.

Follow the three Slayer tiers

Levels 1 through 64 receive normal tasks worth 400 Slayer points each. Levels 65 through 84 receive hard tasks worth 700 points. Levels 85 through 99 receive elite boss tasks worth 1,250 points.

Buy an Enchanted Gem to contact Duradel, inspect the target location, and see the remaining kill count. Search the monster name in the teleport tree to locate available destinations.

  • 1-64 Slayer: normal tasks, 400 points.
  • 65-84 Slayer: hard tasks, 700 points.
  • 85-99 Slayer: elite boss tasks, 1,250 points.

Save points for permanent task upgrades

Do not extend early tasks. Save points for the Salve Amulet and its upgrades, the Slayer helmet and imbue scroll, and Darklight for the Arclight and Emberlight path.

Those purchases improve many tasks. A task extension spends points while increasing only one assignment.

Use account logs to choose bosses

The Accounts Tab contains the Slayer Log, Monster Log, Collection Log, and NPC drop tables. Use them to choose the boss that provides the next equipment upgrade.

Impedia contains individual guides for more than 40 bosses plus Chambers of Xeric, Tombs of Amascut, and Theatre of Blood. Learn one profitable boss before moving into raids.
